Nausikrates aus S- - und ihn bekrän-ze mit einem Olivenkranz wegen seiner Leistung undseines Ehrgeizes für den Rat und das Volk derAthener; dass er sein soll auch proxenos des Volkessowie seine Nachkommen; dass sein soll für ihnund seine Nachkommen auch das Recht zum Erwerb von einem Haus im Wertvon 3000 Dr., von Land (im Wert) von 2 Tal.; dass er, wenn er auch inZukunft dieses Wohlwollen und diese - - -erweist, auch noch andere Auszeichnung finden wird beidem Rat und dem Volk, deren er für würdig erachtet wird;dass diesen Beschluss der Sekretär, der während derPrytanie amtiert, aufzeichne auf eine steinerne Stele und aufstelleauf der Akropolis; dass die entstandenen Kosten für dieHerstellung der Stele und die Weihung der Schatz-meister der Militärkasse und die Finanzverwalterbegleichen.
- - -- - -- - - the People - - -- - - freedom - - -- - - of the – money - - -- - - lent after (?) - - -- - - and also for the heaping up - - -- - - the expenditure that accrued - - -- - - and from the city of S- towardsthe People, he revived the connections (?) that existed [between the cities?]ancestrally from the beginning and - - -with his fellow ambassadors the cities' privileges(granted) to eachother, for which the People crownedhim again, and in other respects he continuedhis consideration for the city as if it was for his own fatherland.In order therefore that there may be an incentive for all whoknow that the People, as is its ancestral custom,will also render to each commensurate thanks, for goodfortune, the Council shall decide, that the presiding committee whoare allotted for the forthcoming Assembly shall placethese matters on the agenda, and submit the opinion of the Councilto the People, that it seems good to the Council to praiseAristokreon son of Nausikrates of S- and crownhim with a foliage crown for his [good will] andlove of honour towards the Athenian Council andPeople; and he shall be proxenos of thePeople, and his descendants; and he shall also have,and his descendants, right of ownership of a house to the value of3000 dr., and of land, 2 tal.; and if in the futurehe continues to display good will and [love of honour]he may obtain other benefits fromthe Council and the People, [whatever he may be deemed worthy of];and the prytany secretary shall inscribethis decree on a stone stele and stand iton the acropolis; and the treasurer of the military fund andthe board of administrators shall allocatethe expenditure accrued for the making and [setting up?] ofthe stele.
